From June 25 to 26, 2026, the “Machine Vision Empowering Intelligent Manufacturing Innovation and Development Conference” and Vision China 2026, hosted by the China Machine Vision Union (CMVU), were grandly held in Beijing. With the core theme of “Next-Generation Machine Vision Driven by Embodied AI and Industrial Large Models,” this year’s conference focused on frontier directions such as large AI models, robot perception, and intelligent manufacturing inspection. As a highly anticipated professional industrial vision event in the northern region, the exhibition gathered over 80 core enterprises to showcase their innovative achievements on the same stage. Vizum deeply participated with its 3D vision product matrix, joining various sectors to discuss the iterative trends and industrial application paths of machine vision technology.

Industrial Eyes Empowering Intelligent Manufacturing

During the core forum of the conference, Shuo Yu, head of Vizum, delivered a keynote speech titled “Equipping Robots with ‘Industrial Eyes’: 3D Cameras Empowering the High-Precision Path of Intelligent Manufacturing.” In his presentation, Yu noted that machine eyes are a core rigid demand for humanoid robots; without a mature visual perception system, robots cannot truly be implemented in complex work scenarios.

Vizum has always adhered to the core technological route of developing “humanoid robots + stereo vision systems” in parallel. By deeply integrating high-precision 3D vision data with robot control algorithms and intelligent dexterous hands, the company is equipping automated equipment with the ability to handle complex, unknown, and real-world working conditions, truly achieving a full-chain closed loop from environmental perception to precise execution. Yu stated that the ultimate goal of technological innovation lies in solving pain points in real scenarios. From traditional bin picking and precision welding to fruit harvesting in modern agricultural environments, Vizum is leveraging mature visual perception solutions to help multiple industries achieve flexible upgrades.

Vision Matrix for Lean Production

At the exhibition, Vizum highlighted five core hardware devices: the intelligent welding camera—the ViEye (Welding) series, and the intelligent grasping camera—the ViEye (Grasping) series, which attracted numerous professional attendees for observation and in-depth exchanges.

ViEye (Welding) Series: As a 3D camera dedicated to intelligent welding, ViEye (Welding) can rapidly generate point cloud data models, depth maps, and grayscale images, maintaining high-precision modeling even in complex industrial scenarios involving strong light, reflections, or light absorption by black objects. Meanwhile, this series of cameras can perform workpiece scanning and weld seam extraction planning before welding; during the welding process, it can switch to dynamic mode for real-time weld seam tracking and deviation correction, strongly ensuring welding quality. Furthermore, the new ViEye (Welding) Pro weld and pool dual-measurement camera integrates six major functions: static area scanning, dynamic line scanning, weld seam extraction, tracking, and molten pool monitoring. Equipped with a third-eye dedicated molten pool monitoring lens and fill light, it can capture transient changes in the molten pool in real time, providing a crucial basis for dynamically adjusting parameters and avoiding defects.

ViEye (Grasping) Series: This product is an active binocular stereo vision 3D camera designed specifically for machine vision applications, also featuring excellent adaptability to complex lighting and high-precision modeling capabilities. With advantages such as high precision, strong light resistance, and a compact size, ViEye (Grasping) performs exceptionally well in industrial scenarios like intelligent depalletizing, machine tending, and loading/unloading. It can efficiently achieve object scanning, positioning, size inspection, and posture recognition, assisting users in smoothly completing workpiece grasping and sorting actions.

Software-Hardware Synergy to Build a Technology Foundation: Vizum’s 3D cameras are not only powerful standalone hardware items but also deeply compatible with professional application ecosystems. The hardware system can seamlessly connect with the MH Platform, which focuses on welding applications, and the FH Platform, which targets intelligent grasping workflows. Both platforms feature a modular design with high user-friendliness, support full-chain development processes, and can directly interface with robotic arm systems. Relying on solid underlying computing power and an efficient secondary development toolchain, Vizum is committed to providing users with an open, flexible, and professional vision technology foundation, significantly lowering the deployment threshold and implementation cycle of 3D vision.

Embodied AI, Co-building the Ecosystem

Facing the broad prospects of intelligent manufacturing, Vizum will continue to deepen its strategic layout from 3D vision to machine eyes and embodied AI. The company is dedicated to building full-stack core capabilities for embodied AI in the future, encompassing the trinity of “Eye (ASIC machine eye) + Brain (AI brain) + Body (humanoid robot body).” Vizum looks forward to walking hand in hand with integrators and industry peers, taking technology as the core and cooperation as the bridge, to co-build a vibrant industrial intelligence ecosystem.
